Helping You Communicate the Value of a Funeral
If you're looking for effective advertising, community relations and other image-building materials for your funeral home, you've come to the right place.
NFDA has created a variety of free, ready-to-use marketing materials exclusively for NFDA members which convey the value of a meaningful funeral, featuring the tagline For a Life Worth Celebrating. Many funeral homes have incorporated this tagline throughout their communications and have received positive responses from families.
Choose from several customizable print ads that can help increase your funeral home’s visibility while communicating the value of a meaningful funeral to consumers.
Your local publication can help you add your funeral home’s logo and contact information in the space provided. Simply download the PDFs of the ads you’d like to use and send them to the publication’s representative along with your logo and other information you’d like to feature.
Offer your families a wide selection of brochures on topics such as Understanding Cremation, Planning a Meaningful Funeral, Healing After the Loss of a Loved One, Helping Children Through their Grief and Planning a Funeral in Advance. Brochures are also available in Spanish.
Brochures available at a special low price just for members.
Educate your community families about the importance of a meaningful funeral by hosting an event at your funeral home. (PowerPoint Instructions)

Suggestions for Use
The pre-written and pre-formatted article slicks have been created for you to send to your local newspapers along with the media pitch letter template. The purpose of the articles is to position your firm with your local media as a resource for positive, helpful consumer information on funeral service-related topics.
They are not intended to be used as paid advertisements with your firm's logo on them. It is suggested that you do not alter the article slicks in any way. The newspaper may wish to include your contact information at the end of the article, for individuals to contact you with questions.
Be sure to customize the Media Pitch Letter Template and send it along with these article slicks to your local newspapers. (Click here for instructions on saving the Microsoft Word template to customize with your firm's information.)
Add consumer topics to your website. NFDA has put together a variety of consumer topics that can easily be copied and pasted to your existing Website. You can pick and choose which content you would like to add. You may also want to consider saving all of the material to your computer and add different items over the course of a few months. This is a good way to keep your site new and interesting for visitors.
