The National Funeral Directors Association's logo ("NFDA Logo") is a registered trademark of the National Funeral Directors Association ("NFDA") and may only be utilized in accordance with the terms and conditions of these Rules and Restrictions.
Who may use the NFDA Logo?
Individual Members, Firm Members, Retired Members, and Student Members of NFDA are provided a royalty-free, limited license to utilize the NFDA Logo in accordance with the restrictions set out below. If the membership of any Individual Member, Firm Member, Retired Member or Student Member lapses or is revoked or suspended, the member shall immediately discontinue the use of the NFDA Logo and remove it from all promotional materials, including, but not limited to, advertising, letterhead, business cards, brochures, signs and firm websites within ten (10) days of the loss of membership.
Are there any limitations on the use of the NFDA Logo?
- The NFDA Logo may be used on funeral home or funeral director stationery, advertising and marketing materials, business signs, business cards, price lists, contracts, other business forms, and on the Firm's website.
- While an Individual Member may display the NFDA Logo on personal business cards or resumes, he or she may not use the NFDA Logo in connection with a funeral home that is not a Firm Member of NFDA.
- NFDA does not authorize the use of the NFDA Logo in connection with services other than those directly related to funeral home businesses, funeral directors and embalmers. This license does not authorize the use of the NFDA Logo for cemeteries, crematories, shipping services, retail funeral stores, or other incidental business activities that are not directly connected to the operation of a funeral home or funeral services.
- The NFDA Logo may not be used to imply any relationship with the National Funeral Directors Association that is not true.
- The NFDA Logo may not be used to imply that NFDA is endorsing or sponsoring a member or any products, service or merchandise offered or sold by the member.
- The NFDA Logo may not be utilized on any websites or in printed material that are in violation of any applicable laws or government regulations.
What are the restrictions on the reproduction of the NFDA Logo?
- The NFDA Logo is not to be used as part of the business logo or incorporated as part of the business logo of any member.
- The NFDA logo cannot be changed or altered other than to be enlarged or reduced in overall size. NFDA members may not animate, morph or otherwise distort the perspective or dimensional appearance of the NFDA Logo. The NFDA Logo may not be altered in its colors, element, type or in any other respect.
- The NFDA Logo may not be combined with any graphic or textural elements and may not be used as a design element of any other logo or trademark.
Review Process.
NFDA reserves the right to review the use of the NFDA Logo at any time. All members shall make any modifications to the use of the NFDA Logo as NFDA may direct in its sole discretion.
