NFDA Policy Board to Elect Three At-large Representatives in 2011

Posted: January 26, 2011

In July, the NFDA Policy Board will elect two new at-large representatives to the Executive Board, each of whom will serve two-year terms beginning at the conclusion of the 2011 NFDA International Convention & Expo in Chicago, Illinois.

At-large Representative Robert C. Moore IV, CFSP has declared his candidacy for NFDA Secretary during the first year of his two-year term of service on the NFDA Executive Board. When this situation occurs, the at-large representative's term of service automatically expires at the conclusion of the national convention in that year. The resulting one-year vacancy can be filled by special election at any Policy Board meeting before the effective date of the vacancy, which in this case, will be at the conclusion of the national convention in October 2011. At its upcoming meeting in March, the NFDA Policy Board will determine when the special election will be held.

At present, there are two declared candidates for the 2011 NFDA Secretary election, which will take place in October at the NFDA Convention: Michael J. Krill, CFSP and Robert C. Moore, IV, CFSP. There are no declared candidates for the open at-large representative positions.

Update: NFDA At-large Representative Special Election
Posted: April 12, 2011

As was reported in the January 31 issue of NFDA Bulletin, the Policy Board will be electing three at-large representatives to the Executive Board in 2011.

As always, during its meeting in July, the Policy Board will elect two new at-large representatives to the Executive Board, each of whom will serve two-year terms.

Current at-large Rep. Robert C. Moore IV, CFSP, has declared his candidacy for NFDA secretary during the first year of his two-year term of service as an at-large representative on the NFDA Executive Board. When this situation occurs, the at-large representative's term of service automatically expires at the conclusion of the national convention in that year. The resulting one-year vacancy can be filled by special election at any Policy Board meeting before the effective date of the vacancy.

At its meeting in March, the NFDA Policy Board determined that the special election to fill the one-year vacancy would take place during the July 2011 meeting. All three new at-large representatives will begin their terms of service immediately following the 2011 NFDA International Convention & Expo, October 23-26.
