Robert C. "Rob" Moore IV, CFSP, CCO, co-owner and manager of his family's firm, Moore's Home for Funerals in Wayne, N.J., is the 2014-15 President of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA).
Rob is a fourth generation funeral director who has worked at his family's firm since 1979. He became manager of Moore's Home for Funerals in 2004, and a co-owner in 2006. In addition to licensure in New Jersey, Rob has a limited funeral directors license in Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner and recently completed NFDA's Certified Crematory Operator program.
Rob has shown a commitment to his profession through his service to both the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association (NJSFDA) and NFDA. In addition to serving on numerous NJSFDA committees, Moore has held all the line officer board positions in the NJSFDA including being honored to be their President from 2006 – 2007. He is also a Past President of the Passaic County Funeral Directors Association.
On a national level, Rob served as New Jersey's representative to the NFDA Policy Board. He has served on several NFDA committees, such as Spokesperson, Member Resources, Budget, Audit and Public Relations. He previously served terms as an at-large representative, secretary, treasurer and president-elect on the NFDA Executive Board.
Rob is a proud graduate of Wayne Hills Senior High School and also attended Rutgers University. He completed his funeral service education at the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, Inc. in New York.
He is married to his wife Pat, his business partner and fellow licensed funeral director, and they have one son Robert, V, who is pursuing advanced degrees in mathematics.
