FTC Consumer Complaint Scam is Back
Posted: May 20, 2015
Last week, the FTC alerted businesses that an old scam is back. A number of businesses throughout the country have received an email notifying them that a consumer has filed a complaint with the FTC; the emails look official and contain the FTC seal and links and email addresses that appear to be legitimate. Do not click on any of the links in these emails; clicking on a link in these email could do serious damage to your computer or allow scammers access to your systems. Visit the FTC website to learn what you should do if you receive one of these emails.
2016 Advocacy Summit Dates Announced
Posted: May 20, 2015
When our members talk, we listen! Snowstorms during the last three Advocacy Summits have resulted in Congressional offices closing and travel difficulties for members. While we can't change the weather, we can change the date of the Summit in an effort to avoid pesky March storms. The 2016 Advocacy Summit will be held April 6-8, 2016. It will feature opportunities for you to meet with elected officials from your state, fascinating guest speakers, a reception on Capitol Hill and much more. The 2016 schedule will be different from previous years, so be sure to keep an eye out for more updates.
