Wolfelt Offers Free Resource to Help Caregivers Support Young People Dealing With Mass Shooting in Oregon
Renown grief expert Dr. Alan Wolfelt of the Center for Loss and Life Transition in Fort Collins, Colorado, has written an article that provides guidelines on how to communicate with children and teens about last week's mass-shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon. He is making the article available at no charge. Even if a child or teen was not directly impacted, the advice offered by Wolfelt will help young people who may become overwhelmed by the news coverage they see and hear on television, radio or the internet. This article may be shared with your community or individuals in whatever way you feel is most appropriate.
